The Security Manager

Whilst thumbing through some old files today, I came across a poem written by a lady who was the receptionist where I used to work as a Security Manager. This was at a Shopping Centre in the West Midlands when I first left the forces in 2001.
I had forgotten all about it
Sonja is a published poet; so I guess I should be flattered. The Security Manager
It is not dignified to smile
My anonimity I must preserve.
I will look serious all the while,
wearing a cool reserve.
I am respected and revered
My reputation impeccable.
By the guilty I am feared.
To the staff I am respectable.
No rogue evades my attention.
Dishonesty earns no toleration.
Thieves wont escape my detection,
with no chance of exhoneration.
If my suspect is curvaceous,
To her charms I am impervious.
I would consider it most audacious
If she did not appear quite nervous!
But when my duties are concluded
And the night is drawing near,
I'll leave the foolish and deluded
and join my mates for a pint of beer!
